Interviewing the Wedding Specialist Callie Rogers



This past week, I interviewed my past professional mentor, Callie Rogers. Callie is the Sales/Marketing Coordinator and Wedding Specialist at All Occasions Catering and Banquet Facility in Waldo, Ohio. Not only was Callie an amazing professional mentor, but also an incredibly helpful supervisor for my first internship.

Last summer, I had the opportunity to work as the first ever intern at All Occasions. I was responsible for keeping our social media updated, redesigning and relaunching the website, redesigning the catering menus, meeting with brides to discuss wedding and reception details, working as an event coordinator on the day of specific events and other various jobs around the facility. This internship was an incredible opportunity and it allowed me to learn a great deal about social media and PR in general.

Working at the facility last summer was an incredible learning experience that I would not trade for anything.

  1. Hannah, Your internship sounds like it was a great experience! I've always thought event planning must be so difficult and stressful. And I'm sure being their first ever intern was a little nerve wracking as well! It was interesting to hear how a smaller business like All Occasions use social media. Sometimes small businesses need to be picky about what social media they have money in their budget for. Obviously All Occasions have found what works for them!
